Abstract:
hydroxypropyl guar gum was synthesized by phase transfer catalysis with cetylammonium chloride as catalyst, reaction time and stirring speed, the best synthesis conditions are as follows: guar gum 3g, propylene oxide 1~2g, cetyl ammonium chloride 0.4~0.5g,pH value 10~10.5, the reaction temperature was 45~50 ℃ and the reaction time was 3~4H. The results showed that the hydroxypropyl guar gum had higher viscosity, dissolution rate, water insoluble content, colloid transparency and stability than guar gum powder.
